Natasha plans ball for hospital that saved her life

Natasha Thomas (23), of Harling Street, Rosegrove, will host the fund-raising event at Turf Moor on September 17th in aid of the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Natasha, who is an ex-pupil of Worsthorne Primary School and the former Towneley High School, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, cancer of the lymphocyte white blood cells, aged just four.

Hide AdShe was treated at the hospital up to the age of 13 and, after undergoing gruelling chemotherapy treatment, was given the all-clear.
She must attend annual check-ups at Manchester Royal Infirmary and now wants to give something back to the young patients, families and staff at the children’s hospital.
“I want to do things for other children. When I was there, there weren’t as many facilities as there are now. “The support they give to children and families is incredible, I know my mum Gayle really appreciated everything they did for her and for me.
“I want to raise awareness of the great work they do.”
