Name change for one of Burnley's leading firms

Award-winning Aircelle Ltd will now be known as Safran Nacelles Limited as part of the Safran Group’s global brand profile.

In January this year the Safran Nacelles plant in Burnley opened its fourth ‘Clean Room’ that will enable the manufacture of complex composite parts for the A320neo, Airbus’s new Single Aisle and the A330neo, the replacement for the Airbus long-range A330 aircraft.

Elsewhere in the factory, the A320neo assembly line is now operational and after five years of product development, Safran Nacelles Ltd recently supplied the first in-service parts for the first production shipset, two days ahead of plan.

In addition the A330neo assembly line is being commissioned ahead of development hardware delivery later this year.

Safran Nacelles Ltd is finalising the recruitment of 14 new apprentices , that will secure the future talent pipeline for the business here in Burnley, where the future ahead looks bright on the back of these two new exciting programmes.
