Musical youth on show at Colne Muni Teenage Talent event

TALENTED Pendle youngsters will showcase their musical skills at Colne Muni this weekend.

Organisers of the “Teenage Talent” show on Sunday are also encouraging young people to attend the event – with free entry for under 18s.

Talented teenage singers and instrumental soloists will showcase their musical skills along with Arden Youth Choir and PYO Music (formally known as Pendle Youth Orchestra), who will join forces to provide an afternoon of musical delights including classical, swing, pop, gospel and music theatre.

Conductor of Arden Youth Choir Susan Eames said: “This will be a showcase for the amazing young talent in Pendle. These performers will be going on to attend the country’s top music and drama colleges and have successful careers in music.”

The Arden Youth Choir’s next concert is on one of the biggest stages in the country when they head off to London to sing at the O2 Arena for the “Worldskills” opening ceremony at the beginning of October.

The concert starts at 2 p.m. and tickets can be bought in advance or on the door from the Muni box office on 661234.
