Former Burnley MP Peter Pike was called on for an official Labour Party duty – to open the new office of his successor as the party’s MP for Burnley Julie Cooper.
Mrs Cooper has now moved into her constituency office at 8 Keirby Walk where her staff will be available to deal with constituency concerns when she is at Westminster.
The ex-MP joined Labour party members and councillors at the special opening celebration after he cut the red ribbon.
There will be surgeries for the public at the office on Saturday, July 11th, from 10am to noon and on Friday, July 17th, from 12-30 to 2-30pm. No appointments necessary.
