High school children from Burnley visited a primary school to show younger pupils how to look after their money.
The 14-year-old mentors from Sir John Thursby Community College gave Year 5 children at Heasandford Primary School a lesson in budgeting.
Burnley MP Mr Gordon Birtwistle also dropped in to watch the session, which was delivered as part of the Debt Aware programme.
Nicola Williams, who is the Debt Aware co-ordinator at Sir John Thursby, said: “The students at Sir John Thursby will benefit in many ways.
“They certainly will increase their levels of confidence, improve their communication skills, learn in detail about money management and quickly learn the art of responsibility. Being a money mentor has already led one of the girls to want to follow a career in teaching. Also they are really looking forward to writing another money management lesson.”
