Missing motorbike in fatal Burnley collision handed in to police

A motorbike, believed to be missing after it was involved in a fatal collision in Burnley, has been found and handed in to police.

Police had earlier today appealed for the return of the bike, which had been involved in a collision in in Harold Street, at the junction with Melrose Avenue, this afternoon.

A 22-year-old man later died from his injuries, police later confirmed.Sgt Andy Halliwell, of the Lancashire Police TacOps team, said: “This was an utterly tragic incident, with a 22-year-old man having lost this life. First and foremost our thoughts are with his family and friends and we send them our deepest condolences."
