Missing Burnley woman found 'safe and well' following public appeal

A Burnley woman who went missing for ten days was found “safe and well” following an appeal by Lancashire Police.

Sharon Duckworth was reported missing after she was last seen in the Turf Moor area of the town on Wednesday, June 15.

Police said they were becoming “increasingly concerned for her welfare” and launched a public appeal for information on Saturday (June 25).

On Sunday (June 26), officers confirmed the 33-year-old had been found “safe and well” on Saturday night.

“Thank you, as ever, for your help and support,” a spokesman for Lancashire Police said.
