Mayor Jeff Sumner will be in attendance at the opening ceremony.

The development of 12 accessible and attractive one bedroom apartments are designed for individuals who require specialist, individualised, and person-centred support, two of which are accessible for people with a physical disability.

The apartments are spacious and close to the town centre and transport links. Fitted with assistive technology as standard, the development offers a range of devices that can be tailored to individual needs.

Fully qualified staff will be on site around the clock. If you or a family member have an assessed support need and an individual budget or personal health budget then you may be suitable for the scheme.

The mayor of Burnley, Jeff Sumner, will also be at the opening ceremony of the facility at 1pm on Tuesday, November 29th.

Jemima Taylor, Group Development Director of Lifeways, said: “Lifeways is delighted to be part of such an exciting and innovative development. From the overall building design to the design and layout of each individual home, Burnham Court is being developed to provide high quality and adapted accommodation to ensure tenants are able to live active and independent lives within their local community. The facilities, opportunities and support on offer at Burnham Court will provide each tenant with the confidence and independence to choose how they live their lives.”

Neil Brown, CEO of Inclusion Housing, said: “Burnham Court is to be a fantastic example of what can be achieved through innovative partnership working between Statutory, Not for Profit and Private sectors. Inclusion Housing is proud to be part of this scheme and the best bit, is yet to come; welcoming the tenants into their new homes. We look forward to working in partnership with Lifeways.”

Andrew Hopkinson, Managing Director of Homelife, said: “Burnham Court will promote personalisation for vulnerable adults in the Burnley area. It will give tenants the choice to live where they want to, independently and in a safe environment. It’s fantastic to see the work on this development nearing completion and I look forward to returning and meeting the people who will proudly call Burnham Court their home.”
