Masked fund-raisers helped bring in more than £5,500 for the local children’s hospice when cloud specialists Denwa held their first charity Masquerade Ball recently, in support of Derian House Children’s Hospice at Chorley.

The “red carpet” event at Bertram’s award-winning restaurant, welcomed 140 masked guests from various businesses.

It was organised by Denwa’s Laura Brown and Steph Holroyd. Laura said: “The evening was packed with entertainment, including a star performance from Kiki deVille, from BBC’s ‘The Voice’. She worked the audience with her floor show and left them applauding and wanting more. Following on was James Cockerill who took the stage and wooed the crowd into the early hours with his dulcet tones – his Bublé rendition was particularly impressive.”
