Mark Ellis (40) called Kimberley Liversedge 100 times in one night and then told her: “I feel like coming round and stabbing you as I have got nothing to lose and I’m going to do myself in.”

Burnley magistrates were told how Ellis, who had also rammed his scooter into the victim’s vehicle, later slashed her tyres during the outburst.

Ellis, of Burnley Road, Padiham, admitted damaging Ms Liversedge’s red Corsa on July 5th and harassment, between July 4th and 5th. He was bailed until July 27th, for a pre-sentence report, on condition he does not contact the victim and does not go within 100 metres of Clitheroe Road, Brierfield.

The defendant had been out of trouble since he was convicted of affray in 2012.

Mark Williams (defending Ellis), said: “He accepts he’s not terribly well at the moment. In his own words, he says ‘my head’s gone’. He has been referred to the community mental health team.”
