Man rushed to hospital after Burnley smash

A MAN suffered serious head injuries after a crash near to the junction of the M65.

Police closed Cavalry Way, the road joining the two roundabouts near to junction 10, for two hours yesterday from 5-15pm after the man, travelling towards Padiham, lost control of his Vauxhall Corsa, smashed through the central reservation and collided with a Peugeot 207 on the opposite side.

The man was taken to Royal Preston Hospital while the woman driver of the Peugeot 207 suffered whiplash and was treated at the scene.
