A man has been found hanged at home in Burnley.
Mr Timothy Cogley (47) was found by his father just after noon on Friday at his house in Ferndale Street hanging from an exercise bar in a bedroom.
An inquest, opened by East Lancashire Coroner Mr Richard Taylor, heard that Mr Cogley had recently visited his GP about depression and feeling unwell. He had been reported unfit for work as a result.
Pathologist Dr Richard Prescott, who conducted a post-mortem examination, gave the cause of death as hanging. He has requested toxicological tests.
The inquest has been adjourned until January 20th.
