Man dies in Nelson house fire
A man has died after a fire at his home in Brentwood Road, Nelson.
Crews from Nelson and Colne fire stations were called to the scene around 7-30pm on Wednesday and found what is said to be a “severe” fire in the living room of the end terraced property.
They used breathing apparatus in extinguishing the blaze and discovered the body of the man.
An investigation involving the fire and rescue service, the police and forensic teams is under way to determine the cause of the fire.
