Man charged with Nelson robbery
A man has been charged after a robbery involving a firearm at a business in Nelson town centre.
Simon Lewis (26), of Harvey Street, Nelson, was charged with robbery and possession of a firearm following the incident on Monday.
Police were called to a shop in Manchester Road at 10am after reports of a BB gun being stolen. Officers were then contacted at 1pm when they received reports of a robbery at business in the Prospect Buildings, Cross Street, Nelson. An iPad and phone were stolen but later recovered.
Armed officers were on the scene but no shots were fired.
