St Andrews Bowling Club in Burnley have raised £1484.92 for local charity Pendleside Hospice after holding a fundraising night recently.
The officials and committee of St Andrews, which is located on Abinger Street, have expressed their gratitude to all local businesses and people who donated a raffle or auction prize, and a sum of money.
The club also said a special thank you should be made to John Clack to his efforts in obtaining the fabulous prizes that were auctioned and all the people that went to the event and supported the hospice.
David Catterall, of the club, said: “The committee and supporters of the event are really happy with the amount we raised as it surpassed last years total.”
The money that has been raised will help Pendleside Hospice care for those in the local community given the devastating diagnoses of a life-limiting illness, and support them and their families.
