Shuttleworth College Year Seven Pastoral Leader Chris Turner had a leg tingling experience when he had his legs waxed for charity at school.
The Padiham school held its fund-raising week and each year group was expected to raise as much money as possible during the five days, whatever they decided to do.
“The Year Nines raised over £100 for charity with the leg waxing idea for Padiham charity Hayley’s Hugs,” said Mr Turner. “Four male members of staff were told we were having our legs waxed. To say it was painful was an understatement!”
Other fund-raising ideas involved cake sales and milkshake-making workshops. (s)
