They’re hoping to raise £2,000 for the charity, which the community retailer has partnered with to help tackle loneliness and social isolation in local communities.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks trek consists of climbing Pen-y-ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m).

Lauren said: “For most of us, this is the first time we’ve ever attempted such a big challenge, and we’re realising just how tough it is.

“We’ve been training hard, and recently walked 16 miles, but we know this is just a walk in the park compared to what we’re facing.

“We really wanted to push ourselves though and raise lots of money for the British Red Cross.”
