Lancashire crime commissioner asks what are your police priorities?

Lancashire’s newly-elected Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw wants people to tell him what issues they have with crime and what they think should be policing priorities in their neighbourhoods.

To achieve this he has launched a survey asking people to tell him what issues are affecting them. Entitled “Your Policing Priorities”, it is available online or paper copies are available from local libraries.

Mr Grunshaw explained: “This is the chance for people to say what’s going on in their local community so that policing priorities can be put in place and to ensure the views of Lancashire’s communities are fully represented in the Police and Crime Plan 2013/14.

“I came into this role to help make Lancashire a safer place. I can only do this with the help of local people; highlighting issues and concerns, likes and dislikes in their neighbourhoods.

“If you think the police should focus on anti-social behaviour, vandalism, domestic violence, knife-crime, terrorism or any other issues – I want to hear about it.”

Community groups are also being urged to get involved to help make the survey available to everyone across Lancashire.

Mr Grunshaw added: “The Police and Crime Plan should reflect everyone’s views – not just mine. The plan will set my objectives for the next three years, shaping the direction of policing in the County.”
