A short course exploring Christianity and Islam will be held on Saturday at Burnley Central Methodist Church from 5 to 8pm.
The course, entitled 'Jihad of Jesus', aims to bring together people who live as neighbours but who know relatively little about each other.
Methodist district interfaith dialogue officer Peter Lumsden said: "The respective faiths of Christianity and Islam are the starting point for exploring identity, belief, tradition, the value of interfaith work, and the challenges of building strong, integrated communities.
By creating a safe space in which searching questions can be asked and answered, it’s hoped that relationships will develop between neighbours and that participants will continue to develop connections across communities, whilst retaining diversity of traditions."
The course, which is funded by Near Neighbours, will run over a further two Saturdays in June.
