Jenna’s on TV this week in ‘Come Dine With Me’

A TALENTED young Burnley businesswoman is dishing up a treat this week on the hit TV show “Come Dine With Me.’’

Jenna Tattersall was chosen to appear on the programme, where ordinary people take turns to host a dinner party for four other guests, to win a £1,000 cash prize. The show has been aired at teatime every night this week and Jenna was the dinner party host in Tuesday’s episode.

The winner will be announced on the Channel Four programme this evening and apparently there are just a few points in it!

Jenna, of Lingmoor Drive, said: “It was a fantastic experience but a very tiring one, as filming was going on until 3 a.m. most nights. I would recommend anyone to take part as it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, but make sure you have loads of sleep the week before! ‘

At just 27, Jenna runs her own company, First European Logistics, now in its third year of trading. Based on the Empire Business Park in Liverpool Road, Burnley, Jenna won the Best Start Up Category in the Burnley Business Awards. Not bad for someone who left school at 16 with hardly any qualifications. Jenna, who lives with her boyfriend, Aaron Bancroft, an agricultural fencer, worked in sales and logistics and when she decided she wanted to go it alone a customer offered to be a backer and since then her business has flourished.

Jenna added: “I think the makers of “Come Dine With Me’’ wanted to show how a young girl from a place like Burnley without any qualifications as such can achieve success in business. But I also wanted to show the fun side of myself as I like parties and going out so I had a bouncy castle in the garden for my entertainment on the show.’’

And as Jenna has lived on her own since she was 18, she is a dab hand in the kitchen! For her menu she made a starter of stuffed courgettes with a main course of seabass with garlic potatoes followed by a dessert of white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake
