The sixth annual Burnley Business Week proved to be a great success.

More than 20 events, attracting over 380 business people and others, were held during the event which was organised by Burnley Council, in partnership with business support agencies.

Growing the local economy, and Burnley’s reputation as a “can do” centre for business excellence, are priorities for the council.

Burnley Business Week helped support local firms by providing a range of free seminars, training sessions, and masterclasses run by business experts to help businesses grow and to help those who have a passion to start their own business make it a reality.

Coun. Sue Graham, Burnley Council’s Executive member for Regeneration & Economic Development, said: “For a small town we are punching way above our weight. We’ve recently been named a leading business friendly town, ranking a fantastic 11th place in the UK, as we recognise the importance of our businesses and that their success impacts on the prosperity of the borough.”

Feedback from those attending was positive.
