High fliers looking for new recruits

A Burnley based organisation has launched a recruitment drive to celebrate its 75th birthday.

Squadron 352 of the Burnley Air Training Corps are looking for new recruits aged 12 to 15.

Committed to the town, the squadron helps out and takes part in many events in the town.

Flight Sergeant Thomas Walker said: "We are a well developed squadron and we would love for more recruits to join us.

"By joining you can learn new skills such as leadership, confidence and teamwork and we have many activities including fieldcraft, drill, flyng and shooting."

The squadron also takes part in high profile activities in the town such as the Remembrance Sunday parade.

To mark its special birthday this year the squadron was presented with a new banner during a service at St Peter's Church in Burnley.
