Fund-raising duo Luanne Galawan and Wendy Hitchon completed the Jane Tomlinson’s Walk for All through the Yorkshire Dales and raised money for Pendleside Hospice.

Luanne and Wendy, who both work for the Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust at the Chai Centre in Burnley, a combined Sure Start Children’s and Healthy Living Centre, chose the toughest of four suggested routes.

They opted for a 26 mile trek that took them to the top of two of the Dales’ Three Peaks; Pen-y-ghent and Ingleborough, and completed the walk in eight hours to raise £450.

Luanne and Wendy spent six months training for the walk which attracted more than 2,000 people.
