The chief executive of East Lancashire Hospitals has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the University of Central Lancashire.
Kevin McGee received his award in acknowledgement of the significant contribution he has made to the development of the university’s School of Medicine through the instrumental strategic support provided to its partnership with UCLan.
Through the partnership work and Kevin’s continued support, UCLan has become the key provider of healthcare graduates for the region.
Kevin said: “I was truly humbled to receive the award and to be a part of the graduation ceremony. I would like to thank to UCLan - it means a lot. Our partnership is incredibly important and I am glad to see the university, its health faculty and now its medical school, grow from strength to strength.”
Each year UCLan bestows a number of Honorary Fellowships to a wide range of people as part of the university’s prestigious degree and award ceremonies.
