High teas, games and a bumper raffle are the attractions on offer at a fund-raising event in Padiham next week.
The event, at Crosshills sheltered housing complex next Friday, has been organised by Mrs Elaine Fletcher in aid of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Elaine’s husband is Padiham town councillor Tony Fletcher who has received care and assistance from the foundation based at the Royal Preston Hospital. The couple wanted to do something to help the charity that continues to care for Coun. Fletcher and are hoping the people of Padiham will turn out in force to support them.
This is the second event the couple have organised for the charity at the same venue. The first event they organised raised £630.
The event at the flats in East Street runs from 1pm to 4pm and one of the main attractions is Hoy, an alternative form of bingo. High teas including sandwiches, tea and cakes will be served and some of the raffle prizes include a Marks and Spencer’s voucher and luxury hampers.
