Have your say on changes to dental services

NHS East Lancashire would like to hear the views of local people on plans to change the way dental patients are referred to hospital.

The proposals would see referrals going through a central system to ensure they are managed appropriately. It is estimated the changes will make the system more efficient and reduce delays in treatment. It will also help to ensure patients are not sent to hospital if they can be seen more conveniently in the community. This will mean patients receive care closer to home with less waiting time.

Hospital treatment will still be available for patients for who it is required, such as patients with complex needs.
