Hail storm causes traffic chaos on M65
TWO accidents caused huge traffic delays on the M65 motorway around Burnley this morning.
A minor three car crash on the westbound carriageway at 6-25 a.m. caused tailbacks in the direction of Preston.
Another accident saw a vehicle veer off the eastbound carriageway between Junction 10 at Padiham and Junction 12 at Brierfield.
There were traffic jams backed up to Junction 8 at Accrington.
Motorway police confirmed both accidents were caused by a hail storm but said that there were no injuries.
