Stephen and Graham Fagan, who are the directors of Padiham based Fagan and Whalley Ltd, are introducing a special livery on two of their fleet of 160 trucks to boost a national drive to encourage organ donation.

The brothers know first hand how vital it is as their mum, Doris, spent years on dialysis until she underwent a kidney transplant.

Now the Fagan and Whalley organ donation trucks will encourage people from Padiham to Portsmouth to sign up and support the organ donation register.

The trucks were launched at a ceremony at the firm’s headquarters on the Shuttleworth Mead industrial estate, and feature the faces of two young people with organ donation stories - Adam Rogers, who helped to save the lives of five people as an organ donor and Emily Linkaker who received a donated heart.
