Gas leak closes busy Burnley road
A gas leak has caused the closure of a Burnley road while emergency repair work is carried out.
The National Grid was called to Barden Lane on Tuesday after receiving reports of the leak.
There is no immediate risk to the public.
The road is closed both ways between Lower Manor Lane and Blacker Street.
A spokesman for the National Grid said: “We apologise for any inconveniences the work might cause people.”
Repair works are to take place until September 12th.
