Funeral details of soldier killed in Afghanistan
THE funeral of a Burnley-born soldier shot dead in Afghanistan will be held next Thursday.
Lance Corporal Michael Foley (25) was serving in the Adjutant General’s Corps (Staff and Personnel Support) when he was shot by a rogue soldier of the Afghan National Army. The father-of-three was killed while manning the main entrance to Lashkar Gah Main Operating Base, Helmand province, on Monday March 26th.
His funeral will take place at the English Martyrs RC Church in Didcot, Oxon, at 11 a.m. Flowers are welcome and should be sent to the English Martyrs Church.
