A fund has been set up to support the family of Burnley boy Luke Mason who was left severely injured following a road accident.

Any money raised will help to fund trips made daily by his parents Ben and Sarah to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.

Luke was left brain-damaged following the accident in Lyndhurst Road last Wednesday morning when he was involved in a collision with a car.

He remains in intensive care in a serious condition.

His aunt Shelley Halliwell said: “I’m setting up this page to raise any money we can to help with travelling expenses since Luke’s parents live a two hour drive away from Alder Hey, and to eventually help in Luke’s recovery. Every little helps and most of all we want everyone to keep our little fighter in their thoughts and prayers.”
