The men involved are understood to be from the Nelson and Brierfield area.

Watch Manager Caroline Harrison from Nelson Fire Station said: “The vehicle hit a wall and the ambulance asked us to extract three young men on long-board stretchers because of their potential body damage.

“The four were then taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment by the ambulance service. The car had been badly damaged in the accident. They had been injured but they were all conscious and breathing.”

No other vehicle was involved in the accident, it is believed.
