Four accused of helping Britain’s ‘most-wanted fugitive’ in court in Burnley

POLICE investigating how one of Britain’s most wanted fugitives managed to evade capture for four years have charged four people after a series of early morning raids in Manchester yesterday morning.

Officers from Titan (the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit) assisted by Lancashire Constabulary and the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA), raided three houses in Radcliffe, Chorlton and Prestwich.

Four people were arrested and have now been charged. They are: Simone Annette Moran (27), of Edenbridge Drive, Radcliffe, who is charged with assisting an offender and money laundering; Jason Fitzgerald (27), of Edenbridge Drive, Radcliffe, who is charged with assisting an offender and money laundering; Gemma Harvieu (29), of High Lane, Chorlton, Manchester, who is charged with assisting an offender and money laundering and Leighton Craft (39), of Parkhill, Prestwich, who is charged making an untrue statement to procure a passport.

All four have appeared before Burnley Magistrates’ Court this morning.
