Food glorious food at Burnley Market Food Festival

A culinary extravaganza is set to get tastebuds tingling tomorrow (Saturday) when the Burnley Market's Food Festival comes to town.

The week of foodie delights will showcase tasty dishes from around the world including Thai, Chinese, African and the Caribbean.

There will be traders from Burnley Market displaying their produce, hoping to tempt everyone to buy local goods.

Leisure’s Up and Active Team will also be offering residents healthy lifestyle advice and encouraging them to try making their own smoothies.

Marie Shaw, Burnley Market manager, said: “With Burnley Market Food Festival we want to shout about our great food offer and inspire everyone to discover and taste the amazing dishes from around the world that are made here in Burnley Markets.

“We invite visitors to come along, see, smell, taste good food and enjoy the entertainment with all the family.”

The outdoor event runs from 10am until 3pm throughout the week excluding Sunday, July 17th.

It will be held in the Market Square, Charter Walk Shopping Centre.
