After launching the giveaway last week, P3 has been inundated with suggestions of local good causes.

Groups can request one or all five computers depending on their needs.

Jozeph Kinder, general manager of P3 computers, said: “We know there are a lot of families in the East Lancashire area who don’t have much spare money, groups that don’t have many facilities and charities that rely on valuable donations.

“Our staff have refurbished these computers, which would otherwise have been scrapped, because we’d like them to go to a worthy cause.”

The computers will include a Windows 7 base unit, 4Gb RAM, 320Gb HD, a 15in. monitor, USB keyboard and mouse, Office Starter 2010 and anti-virus.

To nominate your group, club or charity, comment on the post on the P3 Computer Services Ltd Facebook page or tweet @everythingP3 with the hashtag #P3Comps.

The winners of the five reconditioned computers will be notified by the end of February.
