A large grass fire broke out on moorland near a Burnley wind farm.
An area of grass caught fire on Hameldon Hill close to three large wind turbines at 17-40pm on Sunday.
Fire crews struggled to access the hill because of difficult terrain and boggy conditions at the incident which happened at 17-40pm
But two fire crews managed to bring the blaze under control in 30 minutes using beaters on two fronts to extinguish the flames.
Crew manager Mark Hammond, of Burnley Fire Station, said: “It is suspected this fire was started accidently, however we urge people to take care when discarding smoking materials in grass and moorland areas especially when the weather has been good and is dry and easily ignited.”
