Firefighters stage dramatic rescue of victim stuck in quicksand in Pendle

Crews used a duckboard and a sand lance to rescue the victim after the 999 call came in at 7pm.

Two fire engines from Nelson raced to the rescue and spent half an hour at the scene in Skipton New Road, Foulridge.
