Firefighters attended a flood at a Burnley house in the early hours of this morning.

The call came in at 00-20am to reports that water was affecting the electrics at a house in Brennand Street.

Firefighters isolated the electrics on arrival having found the kitchen flooded with 2in. of water after a fitting became disconnected upstairs.

The fire service was also called out to Brunshaw Road at approximately 11-05pm on Sunday night to reports of a fire.

However, it was a false alarm, and the suspected fire was a boiler emitting steam.
