FIREFIGHTERS in Burnley have voiced concern over a derelict school building after vandals started a fire there.

Rubbish at the former Westway School in March Street, Daneshouse, was set alight at 9-30 p.m. on Sunday .

Crew manager Dave Robinson said: “Obviously the site is a concernt to us at the moment. It would be quite easy for people to go into the property and cause damage or injure themselves. We are working with the police and Lancashire County Council around securing the premises.”
