A fun-packed afternoon greeted visitors to Padiham’s Memorial Park.
The sun even made an appearance at the Party in the Park event which included games, fairground rides, stalls selling a variety of goods and a dog agility course.
A teddy bears picnic and the climbing wall were popular with the youngsters while local organisations also gave out information and advice. Punch and Judy entertained children, who also made the most of the chance to sit in a police van, and there was live music from a brass band .
Mayor of Padiham Coun. Vince Pridden, who organised the Party in the Park, said a steady stream of people had visited the park throughout the afternoon.
“I’m really pleased with the turnout and we couldn’t have asked for better weather for the time of year.
“It’s a great event for the community of Padiham to enjoy.”
