The troupe, who are known as Next Level Phunk, represented their hometown and the UK in the street cheer section of the competition held in Koper, Slovenia after winning the UK title.

The girls hot footed their way to beating rival teams from the UK, Ireland and Germany to claim their European title. And they celebrated a double success as their coach Lucy Fallows won the street cheer doubles with Gosia Mikolajczyk after beating off competition from four other teams from around Europe.

Lucy said:”I am overwhelmed that we came first in both categories. All of the team worked incredibly hard for this and the dedication and passion reflected on the dance floor. The whole event was broadcast on a live stream and to have supporters back at home watching made us so proud to be a part of a loving and supportive dance school.

“We certainly did Burnley proud.”

Lucy realised a lifelong dream when she set up her school, Next Level Dance, at the age of 21.

Based at Burnley College Lucy has 100 students from the ages of three to 26 who have won a clutch of trophies and titles between them in just three years since Next Level was launched. Lucy also coaches at school, nurseries and with special needs people.
