Popular Ribble Valley village woodland up for offers

Community groups in Mellor are invited to express an interest in acquiring part of The Rann Woodland in Saccary Lane as a community facility.

The owners of half of the woodland have stated their intention to sell it, but as the woodland is included on the Ribble Valley Register of Community Assets community groups have the right to bid for the half that is for sale as a community facility.

Community groups wishing to be considered a potential bidder are invited to state their intention in writing to Mair Hill, Head of Legal and Democratic Services, Ribble Valley Borough Council, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, BB7 2RA, by Thursday, December 24th, 2020.

If a request is received, the part of the woodland in question will be subject to a moratorium ending on May 12th, 2021, after which it will be protected from any further moratoriums until May 12th, 2022.
