Employment and training charity moves into new home

A new three-storey building to help get Burnley people into work has opened in the town centre.

Employment and training charity Bootstrap Enterprises has opened the newly-refurbished building in Manchester Road to provide advice, guidance and training for Burnley residents and to help them to set up their own businesses.

Jobseekers will be given one-to-one support, access to IT suites for job search, employability packages as well as help with vocational training, vacancy finding, application and interview techniques and workshops for people managing the transition into work.

The building was officially opened by Burnley MP Julie Cooper.

The charity now owns the building after 20 years renting in the town.
