Electrician hit man in front of police

An apprentice electrician seen punching a man in the face in the early hours in Burnley, was fined £160.

The town’s magistrates were told how Alexander Whitehead’s victim did not want to make a complaint to the police, but an officer had seen what happened. He had no injuries.

Whitehead (23), of The Kilns, Burnley, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, on April 24th. He must also pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
