Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly man was injured in a collision in Burnley on Monday evening.

The incident happened at around 5-20pm when a Vauxhall Vectra, travelling along Briercliffe Road, collided with the 74-year-old man, from Burnley, at the roundabout at Casterton Avenue.
He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with a broken ankle and a bleed on the brain.
The driver of the Vectra stopped at the scene and assisted officers.
PC 983 Lee Campbell, from the East Road Policing Unit, said: “We are trying to establish exactly how this collision occurred and so we need anyone who may have seen anything to come forward.”
