There was fun and excitement in abundance as the college’s £82 million campus was transformed into a festive dreamland for the annual community event that has become a landmark date in the run-up to Christmas.

A wide variety of stalls offered young and old alike the chance to pick up the perfect festive gift and delicious food and drink. There were also a range of fun-packed activities, including Virtual Reality experiences, a chance to make your own reindeer, face painting, arts and crafts and, of course a chance to meet Father Christmas himself.

Burnley College Principal Karen Buchanan said: “Our annual Winter Wonderland is a highlight in the college calendar for staff and students alike and it is great to welcome so many members of the community to enjoy an extra-special day.

“As a college family we are proud to be at the very heart of the community in Burnley and celebrate this special season with our neighbours. Thank you to everyone who came along, our stall holders and visitors, who made the day extra special.

"This was our fifth Winter Wonderland and it was even bigger and better than ever. We’ll have to start planning 2019’s event even earlier to surpass this!”
