Eclectic open mic night back in Burnley

The best of Burnley’s up-and-coming bands, writers, DJs, comedians and artists performing in the flesh at the ARTisan Open Mic Night this Friday

The night has changed to the new Shift Music Studios in the town centre from its former home at the ARTisan Vintage Tea Rooms home – but the eclectic mix of live entertainment remains the same.

Friday’s bill includes Gray Songs, poet James Seymour, singer/songwriter Bryony Perks, solo artists Jess Hind, Newcomer Oli Barnes, Robz Style and the incredible Joss Owen of J Bear & The Giants.

ARTisan owner Carrie-Ann Kay said: “The nights are so eclectic, amazingly good fun and full of creative and lovely people. The audience have always been supportive and that’s why we’re privileged to watch such talented artists show Burnley what they’ve got.”

Wayne Walsh, founder of the Shift Music Studios, added: “It’s an exciting time for musicians, singers, writers and comedians. We want to put Burnley back on the map.”

It is £5 entry on the door, located at the side of Dorothy Perkins, and guests can bring their own alcohol, mixers and food. Doors open at 7pm, last act on at 11pm.
