Drunken teen who leapt on taxi bonnet must pay compensation

A Burnley cabbie's vehicle was damaged to the tune of £250 when a drunken teenager leapt on the bonnet, a court heard.

Tele-sales worker Curtis Dean (19), of Stanhill Lane, Oswaldtwistle, admitted damage.

He was fined £180 and ordered to pay £250 compensation and £25 costs.

Magistrates were told how Dean had jumped on the front of the cab at 5-55am in Hammerton Street on June 24th.

Driver Mr Ijaz Ahmed phoned the police.
