Drugs stolen from Colne chemist - police appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses after tablets were stolen from a delivery at a Colne chemist.

The incident happened on Saturday, between 10-15 a.m. and 12-30 p.m. at Rowland’s Pharmacy in Albert Road.

A delivery of drugs was made to the back entrance of the chemist that morning and it appears the delivery driver left five boxes at the door and some of their contents have been stolen.

Insp. David Hodson said: “I would appeal to anyone who has information about the theft of these drugs to come forward and contact police.

“I would also warn people about the dangers of taking drugs that have not been prescribed by a medical profession. The consequences of taking drugs could be severe and they should not be consumed.”

Anyone with information should contact Lancashire police on 0845 1 25 35 45 or you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
