Driver hurt in “supercar” smash on Burnley motorway

A MAN was hurt in a “supercar” crash on the M65 near Burnley this afternoon.

The 59-year-old driver was injured when his Chevrolet Corvette flipped onto its roof between westbound Junctions 11 and 12 near Brierfield.

Ambulance crews rescued the man from the American performance sports car at just after 3-40 p.m. today.

He was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.

Police confirmed that the M65 has remained open.
